How we Learn?

Our Approach

Our program is a contemporary learning center that caters to Jewish families from all walks of life. Our school welcomes every Jew, regardless of religious background or level of observance. We strive to share the beauty and joy of Torah and Mitzvot with love, respect and acceptance of every family and every student. We meet our families where they are and are sensitive to the various levels of observance and beliefs in each family.

Jewish After-School Enrichment was created:

>To instill a love and pride for all things Jewish.

>To create positive Jewish experiences.

>To offer all local Jewish children, even those with little or no prior background - an education and memories that will inspire them for a lifetime.

>To make Afterschool enrichment the beginning of Jewish learning and connection, not the end.

>To provide learning that will instill pride, connection to community, a sense of history, love for the land of Israel and a genuine understanding of what Judaism is all about.

Core Values that drive the educational experience at JAE:

  1. Torah as Hora’ah: Torah as a guide for life

  2. Becoming Partners in Creation: creating, caring for and protecting G‑d’s world

  3. Artzeinu Hakedosha - The Land of Israel is holy and ours

  4. Ahavat V’Achdut Yisrael - Sense of belonging to the people of Israel, and love of your fellow Jew

  5. Tzelem Elokim - Respecting the value of every individual

Alongside the core values,we want our students to develop a core Jewish literacy that will inform and enrich their relationship with the Jewish people, with Judaism and with the broader world.

Our learners will:

  • learn to utilize prayer as a powerful means to connect to G‑d

  • appreciate the rhythm of the Jewish cycle of time: the holidays, Shabbat,  life cycle events

  • explore Jewish history, culture and geography, connecting it to their personal and family experiences

  • navigate and be comfortable in engaging in Jewish ritual and practice

  • acquire a working knowledge of Tanach, knowing its people, times and eternal messages

  • understand and appreciate the Jewish perspective on ethics and morality
